Are
You Ready For Jesus To Come Today?
This
is the time to get so hot for God, so fervent in the Spirit,
so excited about what God is doing that this excitement oozes
out of you everywhere you go and gets on somebody else. But
listen: To get where you’ve never been, you must do
what you’ve never done! It’s all up to you. I’m
telling you that your life can cease from crumbling all around
you. Stop blaming others for the bad things that have occurred
in your life. There’s a spiritual mad dog out there
named satan, and you can change the course that he has had
you on concerning your life. It’s not God’s fault,
your parents’ fault, your community’s fault, your
environment’s fault, your country’s fault, your
government’s fault, or your school’s fault. It’s
up to you!
God’s power is available to you, right now! God is ready
to pour Himself out to you right where you are, but it’s
according to your hunger for Him! You have a choice. God said
in Deuteronomy 30:19: “I call heaven and earth to
record this day against you, that I have set before you life
and death, blessing and cursing; therefore, choose life, that
both you and your seed may live . . .”
CHOOSE
LIFE! The choice is yours. God honors your choice.
He wants you to choose the way that is best, but the choice
is yours to make. The first step in preparing yourself to
be ready for Jesus to come is to choose life.
CHOOSING
LIFE IS CHOOSING JESUS CHRIST!
If you haven’t made Jesus Christ, your personal Lord
and Savior, do it now! He cares for you. You are important
to Him, but you are the one closing the door on Him helping
you. You are the reason God sent Jesus to the cross. You are
separated from God through sin. God loved you so much that
He gave His only begotten Son for you: “For God
so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that
whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting
life.” John 3:16
2 Corinthians 5:21 also says, “For He hath made
Him, Who knew no sin, to be sin for us, that we might be made
the righteousness of God in Him.”
Sin was the reason Jesus came to earth! He died on the cross,
and went to hell for one reason: to pay the price for sin.
Once that price was paid, Jesus was raised from the dead,
triumphant over satan; and the sin problem was taken care
of.
NO
MATTER WHAT ANYONE ELSE HAS TOLD YOU, GOD IS NOT AGAINST YOU.
HE
LOVES YOU!
Here’s
something you need to realize. According to 2 Corinthians
5:19, God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto Himself,
not imputing (or holding against or charging) your trespasses
against you, but placing you in favor with Himself. In other
words, God is not holding anything you’ve done against
you. It’s all been paid! Glory to God! This Scripture
also says that God was actually in Jesus, bringing you back
in favor with Himself. Praise the Lord! You’re in favor
with God and you didn’t even know it.
Now in order for you to receive the life that comes with being
in favor with God, you must repent of your sin. Turn totally
from it! You do that by accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord
and Savior. That’s your part to do. God has done His
part. You can do your part now! CHOOSE LIFE!
Romans 10:9 says, “If you confess with your mouth,
Jesus as your Lord, and believe in your heart, that God raised
Jesus from the dead, you’re saved.” The decision
is yours to make. Do it now, and pray this prayer out loud
to yourself:
Heavenly
Father, I come to You in the Name of Jesus. I present myself
to you this day, (say today’s date). Your Word says,
“Whosoever shall call on the Name of the Lord shall
be saved” and “If thou shalt confess with thy
mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that
God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved”
(Acts 2:21; Romans 10:9). You said my salvation would be
the result of Your Holy Spirit giving me new birth by coming
to live in me (John 3:5-6, 14-16; Romans 8:9-11) and that
if I would ask, You would fill me with Your Spirit and give
me the ability to speak with other tongues (Luke 11:13;
Acts 2:4).
I take You at Your Word. I confess that Jesus is Lord. And
I believe in my heart that You raised Him from the dead.
So I say with my mouth: Jesus has been raised from the dead.
This moment, I make Him the Lord over my life. Jesus, I
declare that You are my Lord and Savior. Come into my heart.
Thank You for coming into my heart, for giving me Your Holy
Spirit as You have promised, and for being Lord over my
life. I believe this moment that I am saved. I say it now:
I am reborn. I am a Christian. I am a child of Almighty
God!”
Glory
to God, if you have just prayed this prayer you are saved!
You are now a new creature in Christ Jesus, according to 2
Cor. 5:17. You’re just a babe in Christ, so start feeding
on the Word of God (I Peter 2:2), and surrounding yourself
with other believers, who are mature in the Word. You need
to go to a church that teaches and believes in the Full Gospel.
